Background on my pregnancy with Skylar Calla Martin (our youngest, the daughter)

Skylar was my (2nd) Caesarean section operation, again facing yet another challenge on a different level… Yet again, not what we had in mind or have planned for as parents… Skylar this time deterioration of my placenta was the deal, meaning:- (Placental insufficiency, also called placental dysfunction or uteroplacental vascular insufficiency) is an uncommon but serious complication of pregnancy. It occurs when the placenta does not develop properly, or is damaged. This blood flow disorder is marked by a reduction in the mother’s blood supply).

What could be worst??? Having to deal with an infant at the time, which was Zen “mind you, I was on blood thinners, called “Ecotrin” which is the following :- (Aspirin, also known as acetylsalicylic acid, is a medication used to treat pain, fever, or inflammation. Specific inflammatory conditions which aspirin is used to treat include Kawasaki disease, pericarditis, and rheumatic fever. Aspirin given shortly after a heart attack decreases the risk of death), or having to deal with the above? We thought, this it is it! we cannot still handle this too… But God was so FAITHFUL and GRACIOUS towards us…

We, as a couple, yet facing another challenge “another curve ball thrown at us”, was devastated, but the love we had for each other encouraged us to be hopeful… Taking into account that we asked God for a pigeon pair way in advance.

Skylar, on the other hand was faced with a different challenge, other than Zen, the same instance, but on a different level… Both pregnancies, my husband, their father, was forced to work away from home, having me to be dependant  and be supported by the domestic worker/ child carer and close friends to be of assistance whenever needs be.
